THAT is their catch phrase for the now 28 state drought.
:(
Some are even going as far as to compare it to the "Dust Bowl" days of the mid 1930's.
Yield is so poor that it will cost farmers more to harvest it than it would for them to just plow it over.
S-C-A-R-Y !!!
Did you know that over 70% of the items in the grocery store have corn or corn by products in it -
everything from cereals to the high fructose corn syrup in sodas?
We are going to see a jump in prices at the grocery stores that will be insane.
PLEASE plan ahead NOW.
- Check which items you buy that contain corn and what you could use instead.
- Check which items you can stockpile until a better year of crops makes supply easier.
- Check which items you can live without.
I am not trying to scare
anyone - it's a simple fact of the "Future's Market" that we saw in action after
last summer when the peanut and wheat crops tanked. That $2 jar of Skippy went
to $3 and ranchers in Texas couldn't afford to feed their cattle - so the beef
was all put on the market.
